Here at discovered authors, we're determined to help authors with as many genres of types of manuscripts and potential readerships. Have a look through our guidelines, and then once you have upload your work.

We love to be nosy and really get stuck into our authors’ books before offering them advice. In fact, we think it’s crazy for ‘publishers’ to give you advice on what's right for you and your book when they haven’t even read an inkling of your work or know anything about you.

While we're reading, why not request your free publishing guide so you can learn a bit more about how publishing with discovered authors works and start thinking about what you want for your book.

Read our Submission Guidelines here for more information on how to submit your work and if you're having trouble just get in touch and we'll give you a hand.

WHAT TYPES OF WORK DOES DA PUBLISH?
DA publishes a wide range of titles under various imprints including:

Children's Fiction

We do take on a small number of high quality children's books each year, although advise authors to consider the costs of printing full colour books and to keep page counts down to a minimum.

Fiction

Adult
Adventure
Chick Lit
Classic and Modern
Crime & Mystery
General
Historical
Science Fiction
Young Adult

Non-Fiction

Academic
Autobiography/Biography
Business
Educational
Corporate
General Musings
Mind, Body & Spirit

Sport

Poetry, Novellas and Short Story Collections

We do accept poetry, novella length scripts (20-40,000 words) and short stories (collections and single), We are in-fact big fans of these types of work and although the current publishing climate is not so hot on shorts and novellas, we think they are seriously under-rated and are working on new ways to promote these to the book trade.

WILL DA PUBLISH MY WORK?
All submissions are first read and evaluated by our editorial submissions team and will be considered for publication under one of our imprints. We believe that the majority of work deserves to be published and advise authors on an individual basis as to editorial work needed to ensure their work meets our publication standards.

WHICH IS THE RIGHT IMPRINT FOR MY WORK?
discovered authors has 4 Imprints:

da diamonds -
our mainstream publishing imprint

Titles accepted for this imprint are primarily sourced through our national writing competition, Undiscovered Authors, however we do review all submissions for consideration under this imprint and offer number of traditional publishing deals to authors throughout the year. Sales and Reviews of titles published under our Four O'Clock Press and Horizon Press imprints are also monitored following publication and may be eligible for re-publication under our Diamond Imprint if appropriate.

da revivals - our re-publishing imprint
This imprint covers titles which have been previously published by mainstream and are now out-of-print.

four o'clock press
- our assisted publishing imprint
We would love to be able to fully fund all of the publication costs for all of our titles, however as this is simply not possible, we have a dedicated assisted imprint whereby authors contribute to the editorial, text and cover design and marketing costs of publishing their books.

da horizons - our business and corporate assisted publishing imprint
Ideal for publishing business and academic books for sale throughout the book trade and also simply printing corporate material for internal use.

For more information on any of the above, have a look through our imprints.
