We think it's important for our authors to be really
clear on how publishing with us works. This way you're
happy, we're happy and we are all working happily
together with the same goals and ambitions for your
book.
The first step in your journey is
to request your free author guide, by clicking on
the link on the right hand side. This guide takes
you through the whole process in great detail, and
will help you define your publishing and bookselling
goals.
Below is a step-by-step, simple guide to the beginning
processes.
1. Browse around our site and learn
about our Imprints.
2. Request your Free Author Guide.
3. Upload your work to our Submissions Department
to consider your work for our various imprints. You
are not obliged to do this at all, but if you do,
our team will be in touch within 2 working days with
our initial comments on your work. Please do be aware
that the majority of our Diamond Authors are currently
sourced through our Undiscovered Authors annual competition
and we are more likely to suggest another imprint.
However we have this year taken on a number of titles
as Diamonds that simply came to our submissions department
and do monitor all titles for potential upgrade.
4. Receive your Author Guide and once you have had
a read, start to think about what you want for your
book, and the level of help you want us to give you.
5. Get in touch with our author team
and tell us what you want - all details on this are
included in our author guide or if you get lost, just
email authors@discoveredauthors.co.uk
Once you have your publishing goals
defined, your imprint sorted, your publication deal
and any editorial and marketing services chosen then
we're ready to go...
Your Author Manager will be assigned
and once contracts are signed and payment received
we will start the work we need to do on your book.
You will be supplied with a publication schedule tailored
to you, with clearly defined timescales for you and
us to stick to.
If you have any questions, have a
look through our quick links pages on the right, or
check out our popular questions page. If you're still
confused about anything, just get in touch with us
by emailing help@discoveredauthors.co.uk
