So what is this ‘assisted publishing’?
Well… we have found that over
the last two years or so, that the definition of what
self-publishing actually is has become rather murky
and confusing. So we thought we would clean it all
up and re-present it to our authors so that it makes
sense in today’s publishing world and this is
what we came up with.
Self-publishing means that an author
actually sets themselves up as a publisher –
registering with the ISBN agency and applying for
a block of ISBNS. This is a popular and effective
way to publish a book for those who have lots of time
on their hands to manage the editorial, design, marketing
and sales processes. If a publishing company supplies
you with an ISBN for your book, this is not self-publishing
in its true sense.
We can help you with self-publishing
your book, by providing all the pre-press, design
and printing support you need, but we know that most
authors also want help with marketing and selling
their books, so we created assisted publishing to
enable us to help authors do just that.
By coming under our discovered authors
umbrella through four o' clock press, our assisted
authors can enjoy the benefits of being listed alongside
our mainstream titles, including their books being
available on our sale-or-return basis throughout the
book trade.
We have a range of assisted publishing
deals designed to suit all types of authors and books:
