The publishing house » EDITORIAL

All of your favourite best-selling authors will certainly have at least one thing in common that has helped them achieve such a great readership and high sales figures - a thorough (and patient!) editor.

We know that lots of our authors are very busy - often juggling their passion and flair for writing around their hectic work lives, not to mention the demands of friends and family. Having poured so much of your time, imagination and yourself into your book, why don't you, like the writers you admire, take a step back and let our professional editors take a look before sending your book out into the world?

We use the same highly recommended editors, proof-readers and typesetters for our Four O'Clock Press titles as we do for our Diamonds and are confident they will help you transform your work from a good read, to a great read.

All our editorial prices are estimates based on a 90.000 word manuscript. Upon receipt of your manuscript, we will send it on to one of our editors for a quote (subject to a non-refundable, redeemable £100 fee). The editor will evaluate your manuscript and produce a report on the first 10.000 words with a minimum and maximum editorial cost. You can then choose to what standard you would like your work edited, and we will offset the fee you paid for the quote against the total. It is also at this stage that we reach a joint decision which division your book should fall into: Four O’Clock Bronze, Silver or Gold.

Basic copy edit – from £299 + VAT

Enhanced copy edit – from £599 + VAT

Full edit – from £999 + VAT
