About the Book: 'Last Laugh' is a tale of family intrigue and suspected deceit. Emma Donovan returns to her home town of Dundarragh to oversee renovations on the house she has inherited, 10 Railway Court - a house left to her by her mother and one that she has hated for as long as she can remember. Emma has her own unhappy memories of the house where she lived as a child with her mother, father and aunt. However it is the memories and stories told to her by her mother which have created the loathing she feels for her dead aunt. Returning to Dundarragh opens old sores and sends Emma on a voyage of discovery about her own past and that of her mother. When the skeletal remains of a baby boy are found in the fireplace of the house in Station Court, Emma is convinced they are the remains of her brother, who was stillborn, according to her mother. Emma is unable to trace any records. When a second skeleton is found in the fireplace Emma is as confused as she is horrified and with a police investigation underway she is forced to stay in Dundarragh for much longer than she would like. Was the house about to give up all of its secrets and, if so, what would the impact be on Emma and her present life? Mo Campbell lives in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. 'Last Laugh' is her first novel.
