About the Author: JO FIELD was born and raised in North Devon, where she now lives. Determined from an early age to be a dairy farmer, she went to the Devon College of Agriculture and thereafter contract-managed dairy herds in Hampshire and Wales.
After gaining a first class honours degree, Jo worked as a consultant for the Open University course team on Health and Productivity in Dairy Cattle, aContinuing Education programme. Later, Jo moved into project management, scheduling and co-ordinating course production for the OU’s Open Business School, and for a time was seconded to Islamabad to help set up a distance learning project control unit in the Open University of Pakistan. She was trained in copy-editing and proofreading skills at Book House in London and went on to copy-edit course materials for the MBA programme and tutor training materials for Associate Lecturers.
After ten years at the OU, Jo left to join an independent training consultancy where she led a team of writers and editors producing training materials in HR management in the UK, and ‘train the trainer’ programmes for distance learning tutors in Romania and Bulgaria.Jo returned to Devon in 2000, since which time she has been working as a writer and freelance copy-editor, primarily on works of fiction. Rogues & Rebels is her first novel.
